These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the rules that apply to your participation in our events and to your use of our platform. They are meant to make our cooperation clear, transparent and fair.
In case of doubt, the German version of these Terms prevails.

1.1 These Terms apply to all contracts between Be Brave gUG (haftungsbeschränkt) (“we” or “organiser”) and you as a participant (“you”) for participation in our events, in particular the Future Leader Summit, and its formats (e.g. masterclasses, company tours, interview tables, side events). They apply to purchased tickets as well as to free participation and applications via our platform https://portal.chef-treff.de.
1.2 Separate agreements or terms of participation apply to speakers, partner companies, volunteers and the hackathon. These Terms apply there only where reference is made to them.
1.3 We are a non-profit limited company (gemeinnützige Unternehmergesellschaft) that promotes education as well as adult and vocational education.
1.4 The contract language is German. You can view and save these Terms at any time at https://chef-treff.de/agb.
2.1 You need a personal account to apply or register via the platform. Login works with a link sent to your email address. You accept these Terms and our privacy policy when you register or once at your first login.
2.2 Your account is personal and non-transferable. Please provide true and complete information and keep it up to date.
2.3 You can apply and register from the age of 16. If you are under 18, you need the consent of your parents or legal guardians to purchase a paid ticket.
2.4 You can delete your account yourself at any time via “Delete profile”. We may block or delete an account if you breach these Terms, in particular in the case of false information or misuse.
3.1 You can apply for the Summit and for individual formats via the platform. We select the participants; for formats with a partner company, we do so together with that partner. There is no entitlement to be admitted. We do not decide automatically; people make the selection.
3.2 If you apply for a format offered by a partner company (e.g. masterclass, company tour, interview table, side event), we share your application with exactly this partner company for the selection. This is part of the format; there is no second approval step. We share:
We do not share information on diet or health, CV files, date of birth, telephone number or information about other applications. The partner may use the data only for the selection and for contacting you about this format. Details can be found in our privacy policy.
3.3 You can withdraw an application as long as no decision has been made on it. If you are accepted but cannot take part after all, please cancel as early as possible so that we can give your place to someone else.
3.4 Additional requirements or separate registrations may apply to individual programme items, side events, masterclasses or special formats. We point this out during registration.
4.1 Depending on availability, tickets are available in these categories:
4.2 The prices shown in the ticket shop at the time of booking apply. They may vary depending on the time of booking (e.g. early-bird or promotional prices, contingents).
4.3 The ticket price is due immediately. Sales are handled via the platform of vivenu GmbH, Völklinger Straße 33, 40221 Düsseldorf, Germany; payments are processed by Global Event Technologies GmbH & Co KG, Neualmerstraße 37, 5400 Hallein, Austria.
4.4 The contract is concluded when we confirm your order. Your means of payment is charged immediately after the order.
4.5 When booking, choose the ticket category that applies to you. You may only book categories with personal requirements if you meet those requirements at the time of the event. We may request suitable proof and official identification at admission or during the event. If you cannot prove the requirements or do not meet them, we may charge the difference to the price of the applicable category. You will then only be admitted after paying the difference in full; without payment on site, we may refuse entry. There is no entitlement to a refund or to a change to a cheaper category. Further rights in the case of deliberately false information or misuse remain unaffected.
5.1 Purchased tickets cannot be returned or exchanged, including in the event of illness or non-attendance. Instead, you can transfer your ticket to another person in accordance with § 8.
5.2 Under Section 312g(2) no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no statutory right of withdrawal for tickets to events on a specific date, even if you book as a consumer.
5.3 If we cancel the event, we refund the ticket price. If we postpone it, your ticket remains valid for the new date. If the new date or venue is unreasonable for you, taking your legitimate interests into account, we refund the ticket price at your request. We announce cancellations and postponements without delay on our website and by email.
5.4 We announce the programme, speakers, exhibitors and topics to the best of our knowledge. We reserve the right to make individual changes as long as the overall character of the event is preserved.
If the event does not take place or not as planned due to circumstances for which we are not responsible (e.g. pandemic, natural disaster, war, terrorism, official orders), we are not liable for resulting damage, such as travel or accommodation costs. Your rights under § 5.3 to a refund of the ticket price remain unaffected.
7.1 Promo codes are voucher codes that we issue to specific people or groups and/or for a specific period and that reduce the ticket price. By using a promo code, you declare that you are entitled to use it.
7.2 You may not sell promo codes or pass them on to third parties outside their intended purpose. In the event of misuse, we may cancel and reverse the booking.
8.1 Tickets are personal. You can transfer your ticket to another person via the official ticketing system up to one day before the event begins. Ticket categories with personal requirements can only be transferred to people who meet these requirements.
8.2 Tickets that are not fully personalised (first name, last name, email address) by one day before the event begins expire and do not entitle the holder to admission.
8.3 Reselling tickets at a price higher than the purchase price is not permitted.
9.1 Show a valid ticket at admission without being asked. As tickets are personal, staff may ask for official identification; § 4.5 applies to categories with personal requirements.
9.2 At admission you receive a personal badge, which you must wear visibly throughout the event and must not pass on.
9.3 We may refuse admission to anyone who behaves aggressively or is visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Random bag checks take place; weapons and dangerous objects are not permitted.
10.1 The Future Leader Summit takes place at the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH). In addition to these Terms, the house rules and event conditions of the respective venue apply.
10.2 We exercise the house rules. Please follow the instructions of our team and the staff on site.
10.3 We want everyone to feel welcome and safe. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, threats or degrading behaviour, whether on site, in the event app or on our platform. Anyone who violates this may be excluded from the event without a refund of the ticket price.
10.4 Smoking is prohibited in the event rooms.
11.1 We provide an event app for the programme and networking. Its use is voluntary.
11.2 We only transfer your profile to the app with your consent. You decide in the app which details other participants and exhibitors can see there, for example when scanning your badge.
12.1 Photos and videos are taken at our events, including of participants. They are an integral part of the event: we cannot offer participation in which you are guaranteed not to be recorded.
12.2 We use the recordings for documentation and reporting, on our website and on social media, to promote future events and to inform our partners.
12.3 Your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, in particular the right to object under Art. 21 GDPR, remain unaffected. Details can be found in our privacy policy.
Our privacy policy at https://chef-treff.de/datenschutzerklaerung explains how we process your data.
14.1 A cloakroom is available on site for a fee. We are not liable for items you leave outside the cloakroom.
14.2 We are not liable for valuables, money and keys, even if handed in at the cloakroom, except in the case of intent or gross negligence.
15.1 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under guarantees and under the German Product Liability Act.
15.2 In the case of slight negligence, we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations, i.e. obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely. In this case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
15.3 We are only liable for items you bring to the event in the case of intent or gross negligence.
You are liable for damage you culpably cause during the event.
If we change these Terms, the version valid at the time of booking or application applies to tickets and applications. For the continued use of your account, we inform you in advance by email and ask you to accept the new version at your next login. If you do not accept, you can delete your account at any time.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
19.1 German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence.
19.2 If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of performance and jurisdiction is Hamburg.
19.3 Should individual provisions of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
